...for 15K-secretary it definitely will be a high competition, where native-english gals are way ahead than anyone else... i hope you agree.. Because: 1. Their English is perfect; 2. They have an experience in the WESTERN business environment (and that’s what Qatari companies want to get!); they DO want to apply for 15K-secreatry position. That’s why they will be given this position!

For 7-8K-secreatry position, there is much less competition from the side of the western gals.. so, here there is a CHANCE for other nationalities to grab this position.. whoever is more skilled, whoever is better looking (yes! And that one too!), whoever is luckier, that one gets the position..

For 3,5-5K-secreatry position there is no competition among the westerns (they better stay home in this case)...so the position will be given to whoever agree.. and company WILL find one who will accept it! Even for 3000K! even for 2500! Be surprised!

That’s why for the tenth time I ask that girl: if she can find something similar in her country, it’s better for her to stay there. If she wants to face some challenges, to get some life experience, to give a try to her future (maybe she is so good, that she will get increase in 3-5 months! Who knows??) , why not??

Salary is way too less for a Business administration graduate with 4 years experience.

There are companies who hire people with merit/skills and not with skin/passport color.. Equal opportunity companies do exist in Qatar.

If you can get a job with that much salary in your country, then stay there. But try to get a better offer here. 750 is too low to even get you a bed space. The rent for a studio is around 4000 riyals.

Loulsy.. knowing different cases from your surrounding doesn't mean this is the common situation.. I know someone (Personal Assistant) who lives in Beverly Hills apartment and pays only for the utilities, and driving the newest Mercedes, which she didn't pay a penny for, and travelling only with the First class and stays only in the top hotels.. does it mean every P.A. gets the same?? ha! ...

that's why i asked eduria, if she can get similar job with the similar salary in her country. If she does have a choice, of course it's much better to stay there. If she does not have a choice and want to try herself with some challenge, why not to give it a try??

I am NOT a racist, but what i know is 24 y.o. filipina can never ever get 15K for the secretary position. She would never be hired for this position. Not because she is bad or even not because she is a philipina... Very simple: if for the position of 15K apply two persons: philipina and a UK chick with perfect English, western business experience, and other advantages, i think you know who the preference will be given to. On the other hand, even if the range for the certain position is let’s say 7000-15000, they will offer 15000 to the western and only 7000 to philipina....

Listen I know pple with less experience and not even a BA and get 3500 Basic Salary plus 2000QR accomodation and other benefits.. 750 will get u nothing but bed space... its really to low..

Plus what company gives 14 days annual year after 1 year service? usualy its 30 days annual leave and 15 days sick leave..

If the answers are "yes" and "no", so go ahead. But be aware, it is a low salary, and your lifestyle will be as low as your salary.
