Hello All,

I am currently working in UK as SAP consultant and have around 10 years of experience.

I have an offer from QP and following are the details.

Basic - 20,000
Benifits:
Housing (Family Acco with 2-3 bedroom),
Transportation,
Schooling for kids,
40 days of paid vacation,
Yearly flight tickets for self and family,
End of Service Benifits,
Etc

Kindly let me know if this is a good offer to accept?

And also pls let me know how much one can save with family (2 kids) with the above salary?

Thanks in advance for the replies.

Shahid.

I have been in Qatar over 15 years and have seen QP deteriorate greatly over that period and the treatment of employees has gotten even worse, its not respected like it used to. They used to care about the morale of the employees and making them happy not anymore!

Sunshine5580 - QP will only provide accom for long term if contract is less than 2 years, above that or on indefinite contract the housing allowance is provided and you must find your own accommodation.

this is unless you are based in dukhan or mesaieed then you will be provided with accommodation.

as a SAP consultant though, I would assume he would be Doha based.

QP doesn't treat their employees as well as either RasGas or Qatargas, I would suggest you send your CV to them. The beauracracy is really bad, I don't think they treat their employees well and years ago they stopped paying for accomodations they give a certain amount but its not enough considering the high rents.

QP only gives accomodation if contract duration is less than 2 years or you are located at Dukhan. since you will be hired as SAP consultant you will be based in Doha so no company accomodation if your contract duration more than or equal to 2 years.

u r wrong northerlad, QP gives acocmodation even on a long term basis. the only thing is if u take their accomadation, u wont get the housing allowance.n its ur choice whether u wanna continue staying in their accomodation or look sumwhere else.

QP IS VERY GOOD COMPANY FOR LONGTERM JOB. YOUR OFFER IS SO SO , NOT EXCELLENT BECAUSE IN QATAR INFLANATION IS AT ITS PEAK. IF U WANT TO LIVE A NORMAL LIFE WITH YOUR FAMILY U NEED TO EXPEND 15000 QATARI RIYAL WHICH WILL COVER ACCOMMODATION AND DAY TO DAY LIVING EXPENSE.

I really like QP, we have been here with them for 3 years and are very grateful for the way we are treated, coming from the UK where we were not treated with any respect by our employers. One thing though, when you get here, if you discuss your salary and benefits this way you will probably get fired.

not a bad offer at all....

i think with that salary it's enough to raise your 2 kids here in Doha considering the company will pay for their education...

it is a really good offer..and if u gonna live with ur family there is no way to put u in an accommodation. in my opinion your offer looks fine, go a had and accept it.

GOOD LUCK

Which location have u been proposed to work in? In doha?

IF it is, then the offer seems fine. but just for information, if u r in offshore or locations outside Doha, u ll hav to live in company accomodation. in which case u wont get the housing allowance.
