Migrant workers dreams turn to nightmares in the Gulf

The Gulf's construction boom has been driven by an army of migrant workers, mainly from the Asian subcontinent. But in a three-month investigation Al Jazeera discovered that many workers are charged over the odds for their visas and are forced to work hours and live in tough conditions.

that's the whole issue, these Agents are draining money out of these poor workers.

I really feel pitty on those workers who are coming here by selling all they have to get a visa and compelled to work here in this hot climate.

Even though the living expence is higher and they cannot save much they cannot return home since they have to repay their debts.

blood sucking agents are making money out of these poor people

I agree and I noticed there is an opposite immigration of the workers from gulf to their countries coze the life expenses are very high comparing with other places around the world,plus the weather condition is v. difficult in summer especiaaly for those work outside in construction field
