hi all,

I have recently been made an offer to work in Qatar. i am being offered 9,750 as basic salary, 4,000 as accommodation and 1,200 for transport. i am single but will need to support my mum. i only have one year experience. is this a fair offer? would i be able to survive, save and support my mum?

another question, if i want to ask for more money, how do i do this with my future employer in a diplomatic way?

"Make a difference or make way"

take the offer. You have just one year of experience. Once you settle down you can slowly ask them for a raise.

Non Objection Certificate. You can't change jobs here without that. You are bonded to company as a slave forever. Even you can not go out of this country without your Employer's approval.

Think twice about all the angles :(

Personally I think What you are getting is good. But it is up to you :) I rather discuss with them an agreement for My NOC after the contract period. that is the most sensible thing to do:)

no they didnt contact me:( its ok, coz i am really happy with the company who have decidedto take me but the issue is the MONEY!!! its all about the money! im reading a few other threads and im concluding that 4000 for accommodation is not enough...  i just dont know how to tell them, will i be rude?

QAR 4,000 for accomodation is not enough if you want to rent an appartment.

Probably you have to put QAR 3000 from your pocket for renting.

It means that you will only have QAR 6750 for food and savings. You can spend QAR 1500 a month on food, but you have to consider extra money for mobile fees, electricity, water and any other extra......

Probably you have to negotiate with your future employer to earn a better salary....

Regarding transportation, it will be better for you to buy a car. With this monthly allowance you can pay a loan for a small car.
