Leave travel salary

Part of my salary is a so called leave salary which corresponds to 21 days of my basic salary payable once a year.

My question is does this mean that this is paid out instead of the salary that I would have earned during the month when I am on annual leave? or is it paid in addition to the salary for the month ?

thanks in advance for your replies.

Work for 11 months, accrue one month leave with salary and that is paid called as "Paid annual Leave salary", standard norm everywhere, if still confused check your contract again for more clarity.

It is a "paid annual leave", and you should get the full monthly salary. (According to the Labor Law). Maybe your company doesn't give a shyte for the laws in the State of Qatar. Sue them.

I just got 30 days annual leave form my company here even if I stayed 14 months before I had my first vacation.

Qatar, once you already completed at least 12 months in your company you are entitled to a 30 day leave. That is the maximum allowed leave days.

Meaning this is calculated from the fact that you earn 2.5 days vacation iof every month stay in the company, 12*2.5 = 30 days.

But in my case, before I had my first vacation since I joined my company here, I lasted 14 months. This was the basis of my LEAVE SALARY, because I earned 14*2.5 = 35 day salary, so my leave salary was computed based on 35 days.

The Leave salary has nothing to do with your annual vacation days here, meaning, if you stayed 12 months in your company before having the vacation, therefore you are entitled to 30 days annual leave corresponding to 12 month stay with the company.

Why I am saying this is the case for Qatar, is because in other places like Saudi where I came from before, our leave salary was based on a fixed 30 days, even if you stayed less than a year in your company, in the case of second annual vacation and onwards, or stayed longer than 30 days in your vacation, you will still get 30 days leave salary.

likely that it is paid instead of your regular salary. You would be one of the extremely lucky few if this was in addition to your regular salary.
