Pritip, Agreed...But my point is you cant have both. Either you take the leave or the compensation for forgoing your eligible leave. When you get paid for forgoing your eligible leave, its called leave encashment and not leave salary!!!!
dear raghu, leave salary is apart from your normal salary only.. for example, if you are not opting to go for leave, then you can encash the leave available and you will still get your that month salary.. this is similar to earned leave provided in india.
Pritip, your clarification is misleading.... Leave salary is the salary paid when a person is on eligible leave...It is not over and above the salary. For eg. If you work for 11 months and the 12th month is your leave for which you will be paid as well. Hope this clarifies.
hey, leave salary and end of service are different. As per our contract we would be eligible for 30 days a year or 21 days a year. For eg, if you are eligible for 30 days leave a year and after completing one year if you go on vacation for 30 days, you will be paid that 30 days salary apart from your normal salary. And end of service benifit is the gratuity which will accumulate 21 days for every year you complete with a organisation. Upon termination or resignation, you will be paid for the total numbers of days accumulated at the then current basic salary. hope this clarifies..
