Hello,

I am working in Australia and planning to take a job in Doha, Qatar soon. I am into IT Consulting and have around 14 years of experience. I got an offer from one of the Qatar Govt. organization. They offered me a basic salary of Qrs. 22550 plus Free accomodation, Transportation, yearly flights, free schooling, End of service benifits etc. I would like to check if it is a good offer for my experience.

Appreciate your responses mate.

Thanks,
Darick.

Work in Australia.... You will never get Australian life here.... Unless you are paid well to become slave here... Please read "Sponsor Rule" before you head to Doha....

Good Offer mate especially when the acchetomodation and the kids education is being paid for. These are the two most important issues both in terms of cost and availability. Like Snowyowl mentioned get every thing in writing and try to inquire where you are being offered accomodation. If they are offering allowance make sure it is not less than 15K.

Good luck mate..

Mr. Darick,

I don't think it's a good offer for you.. If you have Australian passport then you should ask minimum 35K QAR. + Benefits like high Class like Family accommodation ranging from 11000-17000 per month, rest as you mentioned. Medical insurance, Car. etc.

And if you are in IT you should approach towards US or european countries. Here there is no career for IT's you will be fedup after sometime. If you can adjust here then it will be good for you. Be sure you wont find amusement like Aus here.

That's all.

Good offer. Just get it in writing exactly what they mean with the perks. Fopr example, it may be free schooling for their school of choice and if you end up sending your children to another school, you pay the difference. Also you did't mention health insurance so check that too. Good luck

smile lots laugh more

Make sure about the accommodation benefit. We're also looking at taking a job and have found that they company holds the decision on whether we get the benefit of their accommodation or the funds...the funds wont get us a one bed place and we're a family of 5. So trying to srt that at the moment.

Hello Kamal,

Thanks for your reply. I got to know from one of my collegue here in Aus. that in Gulf the basic and other benifits depends on your nationality so being an Australian do you think this package is what I sould get?

Rgds,

Darick
