Dear Friends,
I have got an offer in Government owned firm. Following are the details
Basic: 14000 QR
Housing: 4000 QR (or company accomodation)
Fixed Overtime : 1260
Family status & other applicable benefits like yearly leave, insurance provided.
Qualifications : Engineering graduate & 13 years of experience in Gulf & India.
Kindly advise is it comfortable enough for a family of 3 + 1 year old child.

LOL.so salary also depends on that? well, i agree with u! sometimes the way u present urself could have bigger impact than ur educational qualification and experiences.

Oh yah, the employers in Qatar, it seems, need some education on this who are happy hiring Indians and getting their job done to the best of their satisfaction. btw I wonder who is complaining against whom.

Only mallus can stay in accommodation of QR 1500 or 2000here in doha you can't find good accommodation less than 4000QR. if you find less than that it will be Garraffa or Muthair or somewhere out of doha, there will be no shops and no amenties nearby. it is the situation here, I dont know why this mallu ppl only do this kind of business and make the partiion the villa everywhere like a cage and do broker jobs and spoiled the environment here.we wait for government authorities to look into this and take neccessary action for this.

what type of family is it 3+1year old child
it is not about doing better that counts all the time.. you have people skills, being presentable, ability to COMMUNICATE, look and smell clean and other factors.any job becomes a no brainer routine after proper training. It is the human factors and cultural attributes that scale up the salary for other nationalities.... No racism intended but truth always hurt...
Agree with you, that is one of the problems affecting the job market but the bigger problem is people from India who accept the job for 2000 (although not true always) are still able to do it much better than people who ask 10,000 for the same job. Indeed a solution is required on that.
for an engineer with 13 years experience package is not attractive.Many of the senior engineers gets accommodation allowance more than 10k in qatar. I think it all depens some sort of luck also.but if you don't have better choice accept it.
yeah bro, last time i checked, lebs do not get paid well either.. why don't you set an example for rejecting your 9000 riyals a month? Let's take a loan and buy a BMW, Black berry, Sun glasses and pretend we are rich :)
for the first time in my life I see someone from India being offered a salary more than 3000 riyals. U should be proud of urself and set an example for others so they stop ruining the market by accepting 2000 riyals for a job that is worth 10,000 riyals.

you accept 4000 riyal accomodation allowence, and try to find out acomodation for qar. 1500or 2000.00

It is a good enough offer but the company being a government owned can definitely give you more.
