ive been out from for vacation leave for a month but since our company was hit by the recent crisis, they was not able to recall me for a period of 5 months, instead i tried to look for another job placement, and i found one in dubai.which is im now here..prior to my vcation i made a bank loan in doha and i was not able to pay it for a period of 5months,my question is,since im working here now in dubai,i may not be coming back to doha.what would be the worse consequences if i cant settle my accounts in qatar..thanks

The worst thing is you can go back to Doha, but you cannot leave until you settle your loans

I think you have no plan to return the money,if the bank cannot recover the money from you they will try and recover it from your Qatar company, be a gentleman and pay back since now u r working, if some one was ur guarantor and he/she still in Qatar the bank will ask them to repay ur debt, be a gentleman and do not try to take the money which u have not earned as it will never be good for u

if u did not pay the amount the bank will put case in court, then you can come to qatar anytime but cannot leave without solving the issue. you will not get exit permit from emigration unless you solve the issue.

thanks

in the first hand, do you have intention to pay. Then it is easy to do by contacting the bank and arrange to tranfer the fund from Dubai.

Normally any thing under 50,000 rials they wont try to recover unless the debter is here or have any guarantor. But if they happen to notify the airport, then your come back to doha in future will be diffficult. But be a gentleman and pay back.

Since you incur the liability here in Doha, that liability is governed by the rules of Doha. If that bank has a branch there in dubai, you can arrange the payment there for the faithful settlement of the loan. The problem on that scenario, wherein a branch is also located there in Dubai, they might do something so they could impose payments prescribing Dubai laws. And since you are already overdue on your monthly amortization, the bank could file charges. So the worse thing that could happen to you is you'll end up in jail. Because ther in Dubai, i've read in newspaper articles that non payment of loan obligation was recently categorized as a criminal offense and i've also read, the lack of debt restructuring schemes in the banking system of Dubai made matters worst for the debtor. What you can do now is communicate to your creditor bank and arrange a payment scheme..Initiate good faith and make the first move so they might reconsider ..then hope for the best, but Im sure its the best thing that you can do right now to avoid any inconveniences in the future.

If you had a guarantor, they will go after him/her. Absolutely unethical to put someone that helped you in your time of need in such a situation.

Heloooooooo.... if you took a loan out in Doha than you need to settle that loan.... if you were out of work I would understand your question but you are now working in DUbai.... so you call the bank in Doha - you tell them what happened and you arrange with them to transfer an amount each month....wheres the difficulty ????

I think if the bank cannot recover the money from you they will try and recover it from your Qatar company. If your RP expires and the company leave you high and dry I guess it's their problem.
