Hello Everyone , Greetings form Great White North ( Canada ) .
Im exploring opportunities in Qatar but have no idea about where to start the negotiation . I'm an IT Project Manager ( PMP certified ) with 7 years of experience .
What should be my minimum expectations ? Any help from folks in similar line much appreciated.

Hmmm, Qatar Petroleum, RasGas. I guess some of the bigger international names like Schlumberger and Dyncorp.

You are right , no point moving if Im going to make less than what I make. I'm not interested in University too, once you are in academia its not easy coming out , so that leaves very little choice for me. can you name 5 firms companies I can even consider ?

Minimum wage is going to stick in my mind for a while .

I mean seriously underbid! I'm quite sure you wouldn't want to move to Doha for less than minimum wage in Canada! But that said, there are a few jobs in mostly Western firms and universities that recognize experience and training. No, I'm associated with academia and that means that the majority of employees in the university are in IT.
