I am a 30 yr old Indian engineer with work experience in recruitment industry for 6yrs+. I am in Mumbai currently.
Please advise me on the below.

Teyseer Group has offered me the below package-

Salary: 9000 QAR + company provided accommodation + company car + Mobilization and demobilization costs for self and family+ yearly airfare and paid leave as per Qatar Labour law for self and dependents (wife +2 children) + insurance

Should I ask for anything which is not there in the above mail? How is the reputation of thr TEYSEER GROUP.

I would be in QATAR with my wife. She will be a house wife. What are the QATAR LAbour LAWS. What are the leave scheme as per QLL. Please explain your suggestion will be very valuable. They have told me that initially I will be there on a Business visa and then the same would be changed to a Work Visa. Is this safe and Okay.

Regards,

DNK

Hey Buddy,

I am from Mumbai too and have come to Doha a year back. Trust me its a good package and Qatar is a lovely and safe place to be. One can just save save and save coz theres nothing much to do. But that does not mean you cannot enjoy your life. Its a perfect place if you are shifting with your entire family. You will never regret Doha.

Only thing you wont like is the weather out here for 3 months. July, August and September months are really HOTTTTTTT. But the good A/C's compensate the heat well.

If you have the money and time and any friends in Doha, then just come down for a 3 to 4 day visit and you'll see it yr self.

One more thing I would advise is dont go shopping in Mumbai before moving to Doha coz you will get everything possible in doha( from eatables to spices to clothes to everything )Or you will land up paying huge amounts at the baggage counter.

Take Care

Imp Q) What is the name of the Company within Teyseer they are having like 15-20 companies under the same umbrella.

Feedback: Big group but not good enough in paying and not organized...it can take 1-3months to get RP stamped.. NO RELEASE, some feedback i have...but most important is which company you are offered a job at

9000 is nothing for a Recruitment Manager. Salary Stat suggest a basic of 15 plus is good for a family person out here....House & CAR covered is ok though

Hi,

Just ask for Schooling for your childeren

Other wise it sounds as a reasonable offer,

also ask about the vise, though it is normal that they get you in first then work on the rest of the family as a working permit visa

Best of luck

Wellcome to Qatar

Thanks Guys. Fortunately I do not have a kid so I dont think I need to ask for School Fees Allowance.

Now what if they are not willing to give a resident permit in the beginning. If they insist on I coming there on a business visa and then applying for my spouse visa. What if I wish to bring my Mom alongwith me. What would be the average expenses if , I am a strict vegeterian, No smoking, no drinker? They are providing me with a car with fuel and accomodation usaually with your experience what should be the kind of accomodation I must expect. What about the AC, Electricity and Water charges per month, Furniture etc. Is car a must or should I say no to car and travel using public transport ask for cash instead.

What is the average temperature there in Doha

Kindly Advise

Pls do not compare with the salary of QP - which is a Govt owned Petroleum cmpany. Among the private sector, this is a GOOD salary. TEYSEER is a respected group, the top Management is controlled by some of the professional Indians.

I would advise 2 things for the negotiation.

1. Ask for the chidlren education allowance. or tell them to reimburse the amount, whatever actuals.

2. Ask them, why dont them provide you a Resident visa instead of business visa. Being a reputed comapny they dont have scarcity of Indian visas. Anyway, plese reach here alone not with family - pls bring them only after you get resident visa.

( if something unfortunate happens, pls take it as a paid holiday trip to India-Qatar-India.... right > )

Hmm manager? In QP network that much salary will be around at grade 12 to 14 salary. usually these are grade for engineer up to group leader. manager will be around grade 14-17 with around 12k starting salary. but again that is QP. fyi only. but if everything are provided, so basically that amount will be enough. thousands are survive with less than 1000 here

Well the offer is not bad even not very good for a position of a "Recruitment Manager". You should try to negotiate for more due to inflation. If they don't then take it.

Secondly, I don't know why they are calling you on a business visa ? Why they cannot issue Resident Permit for you and your family directly ? I don't advise you to come on a business visa since you will have no rights if Company terminates your services before applying your Residence Permit.

If you land in Doha on a RP then you will have all the rights for your Employment in Doha as per QLL.

Also you will find Qatar Labour Law here: http://www.qatarembassy.net/Qatar_Labour_Law.asp

All the best.
