HR Interview - A breeze - is it me ?
I had my HR Interview this morning, lasted about 30 mins on the phone, never had such a non tasking Interview in my life, HR Rep was like a door mouse, asked about my previous roles briefly, then about my previous remuneration and if I was comfortable with the role that I applied for and if I am ok to relocate, I then proceeded to ask a bunch of questions, unfortunately when I asked about the remuneration package they could not give me the figures ???, would this be because they now have to look at the figures I provided and crunch some numbers ?. The Agency that placed me said that if you get to HR Interview after Tech then the job is pretty much in the bag , I'm keeping an open mind because until now it has all been very easy, am I right in assuming that I would not of got to HR stage if they were not happy at tech stage ??
Im a Brit hopefully coming over with my wife and young son in a role at Level 16 so hopefully it should be a pretty good package, time will tell. GLA.
thanks for mail, tech interview was via phone with panel of 2, Head of IT and 1 other 2 weeks ago, had a HR interview this morning via phone, seemed somewhat of a formality, dont know what others have experienced in terms of the HR element of the process, anyway like with everything got to wait to see if I get an offer then look over the package very carefully , housing allowance I guess being the deal winner / breaker for most. For sure I wont be flying anywhere without also having confirmation in writing.
regards
Hi there's no standard that would allow you to be able to guess. But on the info, I'd say that you are quite likely to be getting an offer - paricularly if your Tech interview was with someone that either is, or works directly for the hiring manager.
General approach here now for mid-senior UK expat level tech based roles is UK salary - tax free + housing + transport + relocation + medical + 1 x annual flight home for self & family. School fees are different for each company.
Good luck.
cheers, Ive lived in Asia, Singapore, Japan and many more previously, I can handle the heat - lol, btw have I assumed correctly in terms of the Interview process, are the HR Interviews a mere formality, and is it not unusual to not be provided with numbers at this stage, apart from level/grade ?, thanks.
best of luck mate.....but be very sure that you get everything in writing,... and also have u visited doha before.....honestly it will shock you after britian or dubai...so better visit or check it out before you make a decision....!!
