Dear friends in QL,

Recently I visited Doha and I love to live there.

I am a German(Asian origin) looking for Job in Qatar

I hold a Doctorate in business administration from a UK University, and MS Electronics engineering from German university, I have four years of project management and three years software development experiences.

I am looking forward for a Senior Business Analyst or Project manager role.

Can somebody suggest me how much salary I can expect in Qatar.

Are there any good Job websites for Qatar to view the recent opportunities?

Your advice is much appreciated!

thank you
Mat

I think coming to Qatar is little risky specialy coming to private sector its either doctor or executive class. Compare to other place in gulf Qatar is little uncertain place. Usually employee not getting salary on time and on leaving employers are not willing to give the gratuity and other end of service benefits. In my view before taking any risk of coming to Qatar better explore some alternative. and cost of living very high. So be carefull before joining any private sector and once you join, you will not be having much options.

It is totally unintelligent to ask QL what salary one could expect. It is more intelligent to ask oneself how much salary you want, and then look for a company that is willing to pay it. But it requires a professor to understand that equation.

Thanks Qatarisun.......

I think QL friends are good at helping each other, very intelligent, eloquent and insightful. Very few exceptional stupids berate others for their mental satisfaction.

so, summarizing all above, you can expect anything from 9,000 to 50,000 plus housing... have you got the answer? doesn't look like..

I think asking such question a bunch of anonymous strangers on silly public forum shows level of your "Doctorate"...

Accept no less than 50,000 for a UK doctorate (plus housing). Don't let the low offers deter you either. Most companied are shrewd negotiators but be tough and don't yield. Otherwise you will regret it when you arrive and find your underlings are paid more. This happens to Asians all the time, and they're terribly bitter about it.

before you expect a salary, the best thing you can do is to apply a work. and once you are selected and interviewed, thats the time you negotiate with your salary...
