The labor law says;
First 5 years= 21 days x 5= 105 days
Next 5 years = 28 days x 5=140 days
But in private sector companies may alter the rule of gratuity on their own...
The Labor Law stated as Gregorian Calendar
One month is calculated as 4 weeks, the gratuity per annum is 3 weeks. 3x7=21 days, therefore the remaining one week is 9 days..therefore it is not 21 days gratuity..it is 22 days equavalent to 3 weeks (remaining 8 days)...most of the companies is calculated as wrong..I completed 5 years in my company and they calculated as 22 days/annum...the 21 days is correct if the law says Hijra Calendar..but the Law says Gregorian Calendar.
It will be more than 5years from 2005 for END OF SERVICE. So i will get same 3 weeks end of service or 4 weeks. coz i saw in Qatar labor law, it mentioned in artical no. 72 & 79..Please, advise me...
does your contract state that you'll receive end of service benefit?
