Qatar Cabinet calls for government staff evaluation.
The assessment of public sector employees will be the first of its kind and will focus on the employees' job efficiency.
The Qatari Cabinet has urged ministries and government departments to evaluate employees in the next 15 days, according to a report on Sunday.
The assessment of public sector employees will be the first of its kind and will focus on the employees' job efficiency, The Peninsula reported.
Poor performance will lead to a cut in the yearly bonus, which is due on April.
Employees rated "excellent" will get six per cent of their salary as allowance and those rated "very good" will get five per cent as allowance.
Those ranked "good" are entitled to three per cent bonus and those who fall in the "acceptable" rank will get one per cent of their salary as bonus.
The poor performers will not get a bonus, the newspaper reported

The general public should have a chance to give feed back.

The government will be in for a surprise.But then the same trend is in the whole middle east. But good , they are at least setting a new trend.
