Final Pay Once Resigned from Job

How soon is the company by law supposed to issue you with your final pay. I have left my job one week ago and now they say they are not "pre paying" any wages until Dec 14th - but as the company is closed until Jan 4th - I will not be paid until then. Is this allowed????

They are not prepaying me as I have already resigned.
