Contractor offer for Rasgas

Hello everyone, i'm wanting a little help if possible.

I recently received a letter of offer for a post at Rasgas through an agency, I have no problem with the salary offer, but I do have some questions on my allowances.
I appreciate everyones views but I would prefer to have the opinions of British or Western expats.
The offer is a Married status contract and my children will be coming with me. Here are points in the offer that i am a little unsure of, please let me know your views;

Local Medical insurance only covers myself not the family?

Flights home are only for myself and my wife not my child?

There is no vehicle allowance? Only a Living allowance of $5900 US. Which seems to be a little short when looking at family accommodation in the north? They say they can provide transport to and from place of work but i will have to pay for it?

I have no leave allowance, i am contracted on a daily rate?

I would really appreciate your feedback to help me make a decision.

Thanks all
Dante

Housing is considerably more here (a lot of Western expats live in villas costing 25-30Qr a month)

Education allowance? Don't come if they don't pay as it can be 50-60,000 a year PER child.

The rule of thumb is to get housing, education, medical, flights and on top of that salary should be at least 1 1/12 times more than what you currently receive.

Only thing cheaper here is petrol.

Dear Friend,

Your salary slot would be between 21000 to 22000 in QR which is not a joke .. a quite handsome.

In private firm or from the contractor is a good offer , dont see ras gas , qatar gas or QP etc for higher wages....

No one can get same that all are taking so accept the offer ASAP and join it.

Dont care if some one is saying salary is low....

Wish you best of luck>>>>>

Note: Mr Yasir... Have you seen any one taking 5900usd on daily basis? ( should realistic rather to reply negative)

I don't think it's fair enough. For a villa of 3 bedrooms it will cost you 12k to 15k a month. For a flat of 3 bedrooms it will cost you 6k to 8k electricity and water bills not included. Plus your monthly installment of a 4x4 vehicle of say 2300 riyals per month. For food allowance of a family of 4 will cost you 3500 t0 4000 per month. Plus your internet and telephone bills of 233 riyals per month. Plus monthly educational fees of your children. You need at least 30,000 riyals monthly allowance.

Hi Yasir, I understand that RG are good paymasters. My salary is private, I am happy with that. Its the allowance of 5900 USD per month that concerns me. Is this enough to have a family home and 4x4 car in the north of Qatar?

Above when I mention leave allowance i refer to Vacation or holidays.

Thanks for the reply.

This 5900/- USD is per day? per month? or what?

What is your full offer? what are the things contractor will provide?

Or, look at is other way around. look for cost of living in Qatar and then compare it with your existing pay, life style, savings etc. You will get better idea about accepting or rejecting the offer.

RG are good pay masters; your contractor, no idea!

I'm a firm believer that my salary is for me and my family. Contract companies to often take too much of a cut from their prospective staff. Those staff live in fear of losing the offer.

My question really here is, is this a fair offer or should I be receiving more?
