compensate a portion of salary for redundacy

Does QP compensate their staff a portion of their salary whom THEY made redundant???? Surely their must be something in place for this? We didn't ask to be made redundant we in fact signed an indefinite contract so sure there must be something to compensate them for atleast 6 months! Can anyone comment please.
