basic salary for professional photographer

Hi,

I spent lots of days already trying to find an answer to this question. ive recently been offered a job to be photographer to a photo studio in doha.
The first offer was 2,000QR only, with accomodation and transportation(including flight from home to qatar), uniform, photo equipments, but without free food or food allowance. i told them that was too low so they said they can give me 3,500QR per month.
The studio is not yet open as theyre still waiting for the photographers, and they said that they are still in the early process of planning for it.
business wise i understand that they cant really offer me that big yet because they are just starting. but i really think it is too low for me to accept.
Just a brief background, i have 8 years experience in photographer, the last 3 years i was working for an international company based in miami,i worked my way up form being just photographer/videographer to being the assistant photo manager. because of personal reasons and too much working hours i decided to resign and just go home and try to find something else thats why i was gonna try my luck in qatar.
base on what i read, the cost of living in qatar is really expensive, but because they have free accomodation and transportation i know i can still survive.but they are not giving food allowance so i know that will be a problem.

the employers are nice and i really like their vision for their business, they even asked me to help them start it up in terms of which equipments to buy, how to set up studio etc etc.i know that female photographers are in demand right now on that part of the globe.but i just cant believe that 2,000QR is the base wage for professional photographer?if it was not for my experience and my portfolio i dont think they were gonna add 1500QR on their offer.

Iam still undecided on this. Are there any other better offers there?or 3,500QR is the best offer for a professional photographer?

sorry that this post is too long and thanks a lot for your reply.

cheers.
