I got an offer for auditor in Qatar: base salary is 21,000 Qtrs.
they will provide others allowances, as following:
11,000 Qtrs for housing
1,600 Qrts for Transportation
One year Air ticket for all family
Full Medical Care program
45,000 furniture allowance
5 basiac salary car loan

It is a Good Salary in Qatar? Can negotiate a more salary?
I am married with one baby. It can be a enough money to save 1000-2000 $ per month?

I am american citizen and working right now as a contractor in houston but I am looking for a better salaries.

one friend of mine said to ask for 30K as basic salary..is it realistic?

If you have expirence in Oil and Gas Industry and you are canadian or american (according to the original requirements - why?..honestly I do not know!!) probably they will be interested.

Hi there

Both my husband and I are auditors and that is a very good offer. CanI ask you with which company it was? I have been an auditor in oil and gas for six years and it has never been a tedious job. Everyday brings with it new challenges and experiences. I have always found the Oil and gas sector interesting

That is an amazing deal!

I say take it!

You've got a good salary and lots of bonuses (which helps you save even more!)

My friend's an Auditor and he's told me they get quite a comfortable living, however the work is tedious. (He works in Japan)

it is my first experience as auditor. I used to coordinate projects and enginering departments in Oil indudtry. I have 12 years experience as oil engineer but just has finished my MBA and I want to chage my carrer from tech. area to managerial/fiance area. This move looks good for my carrer path. I will evaluate others offers in Canada and then decide whic way I will take.

Thakns all all you for your comments..this site really help me up..

It's a good deal for Qatar, for housing you can easily find a villa less than 11000 QR, other expenses also seems ok.

On the other hand life is not expensive here, I can say that it is really cheap. U can save min half of your salary may be more than that.

And you said "Can negotiate a more salary?" if possible always negotiate, do your best :)

Yes that package is comparable to a senior audit leader in the State Audit Bureax in Qatar recruited from India with 15 years exp and management experience.

its a good package - but be warned audit here is not very professional and not up to western standards being more Indian/1970 Bitish style compliance audit. Some private shareholder companies are better.

I would be doubtful whether your package if 21k PLUS 11k PLUS everything else. Thats pretty big.

Although if you are senior enough to get offered that package I'm surprised you can't figure out your savings for yourself.
