ASPETAR Sports Hospital

Hello,

I am curious to know what the readership thinks of the following salaries/allowances of jobs currently available at ASPETAR Sports Hospital:

Director of Pharmacy: 28k pm
Medical Officer: 25k pm
Senior Nurse: 14k pm
Junior Nurse: 10k pm
Ultrasonographer: 15k pm

Annual renewable contracts, 7 hours per day.
Plus 30-40 days annual leave, based on seniority.
Annual flights, accommodation, transport, and insurance, all at no cost.

Do these seems reasonable salaries for the skills and experience required in these positions? From what I can gather from other posts on QL, they seem a little on the low side although by no means bad.

Thanks for your input.

I'm sorry, my mistake.

Just bare in mind for everybody here, just talk or make your statement if you know the situation. Don't talk or make statement by your "only" judgement or opinion.

Everybody here in QL i think is more like me, working in Qatar as an expat. You all get the offer before you came here. Do your feasibility study first before you take the offer. After all the facts shown, and then make the decision. Don't after you came here say you cant live with that offer, its to late and then you'll try to demoralize other people to come here.

for this to girls "angelina & mandilulur". please accept my apologize. hopefully its wont happen again.

thank you.

Thank you for your apology, however, I doubt you are in marketing because if you were you wouldn't state where you work and then tell people to 'shut up' which is seen as highly offensive where I come from! I take it Aspetar works on its reputation and it's completely shattered when employees state such unfriendly and unwelcoming words in their replies! I see that you realise that with your apologies......be very careful in future....Qatar is a very small place! You havem't been here long enough to realise that.....

Yeah, zaire? We don't tell people to shut up here. Especially doesn't look good for a professional.

Yes I know it says 'Latest' but I has been the same for over 4 years, so would take the salaries and positions as a 'guide'..They recruited me to one of the positions, and the website never changes!!.I don't know why they use outdated info...

It does actually say "Latest Vacancies - April 2012" on the website where this information was taken from. Do you know much about this hospital Eddie_H?

The website these salaries were obtained is about 4 years out of date...the positions have been filled for 4 years at least. Also Director of Pharmacy approx £58k pa tax free + housing, transport allowance etc etc.... Low paid?...

For an orthopedic physician? No, probably not. But that's because it would be less than he/she made in the US. Isn't that what it's all about?

Any more feedback on these salaries/allowances? To contextualise, would you say they are good for someone with university degrees/higher degrees from US/UK?

HMC? This is the govt. owned hospital and serves the bulk of the population of Qatar. Check if the medical workers in HMC get these rates, and if not- yet they have tons of workload- then Aspetar's rates are above industry I should say.
