Hey, I just received an offer to work in Doha for a salary of QR16,000 and housing allowance of QR7,000 per month.

Is this a good offer?

I can't believe that someone is getting that offer and still wondering if it is good or not.....and to make it more teasing there are actually posts to sympathize with the "poor" guy ....(sigh) there are no justice in the world

For QAR 7,000, you can afford a one bedroom apt or a studio (rental + utilities).

Salary QAR 16,000 :

Minus : Car Loan & Petrol -3,000

Food -3,000

Misc -1,000

Balance QAR 9,000 (x 0.9) = RM 8,100 you can save.

Since you're Single you have to think what to do during leisure.

Not many activities for Singles here.

If it's a job as a tea boy it's great.

If it's to run a big organisation it's not.

Everything's relative

Only if you are single and it includes vehicle, medical, dental, flights. QR7k is not a lot for rent. Try reading QL and see how much the thieving B*stds are trying to squeeze out of people for grotty flats.
