Is 7,300 QAR all inclusive reasonable for experienced Medical Imaging Engineer
Hello,
Please tell me if a 7,300 QAR all inclusive is worth it working in Qatar. Company also requires me to buy a car at my own expense.
I am an experienced Field Service Engineer of various Electronic equipments specialized in Medical Imaging - CT Scan, MRI, Digital X-ray and high end- Ultrasounds, etc.
With very good computer and networking skills. Total of mre than 12 years of work.
I was part of a American owned multinational company here but decided to work in the caribbean region for a year, worked with professional Westerners. Currently, still looking for reasonable job abroad.
I'll appreciate your inputs.
Thanks
Reputed company, having known the living std, shouldn't have been offered this salary for your experience. Still would you like to negotiate?
i dont think it is a very good package!!!
n if u have a family, no way!!! ull have to pay that much just for an apartment!!!
The salary is very low for an experience guy like you.. look for another one.. theres still lots of better oportunities here in Qatar, be patient don't be in a hurry.
Your inputs are very helpful. I am currently negotiating with the company, I'm not getting any reply as of this time from them.
Initially, I thought the offered package comes with a company provided accommodation and transportation.
All the best for you guys !!!!!
The answer to this question depends upon your standard of living and what you are prepared to accept for accomodation.
If you are asking this question, having previously worked for an American company so presumably you have been paid in dollars before, 7,300QR equates to $2,000, so I think, knowing this and asking this question you must feel that this is fair pay for your skills, for me, I wouldn't get out of bed in the morning for $2,000 a month, my pride would not allow it, but then again, we are all different.
According to current Qatar market, it is very less because for hiring a studio flat min its required Qrs,5,000 above and for a saloon car loan min. 1000-1500/-..if u have vast experience, try for the best career....all the best.
She's right.. even if u go for a one bedroom it will take up nearly all ur pay.. not counting if u wanna get a car and pay monthly payments.. u're gonna end up having ur food sent by courier from back home... my advice negotiate either accomodaation.. or a higher accomodation allowance.. and negotiate transportation or company car
looks low to be all inclusive.....an independent 2 bedroom house itself will soak up all your salary buddy...Think once again and re-negotiate
