DobuleTree By Hilton is doing a spin on the typical Ramadan Tent we are used to seeing in all major five-star hotels during the holy month of Ramadan.

Instead of spending an exorbitant amount of money in setting up the most lavish and extravagant tent, the hotel extended a cordial invitation to renowned Turkish chef Samil Aksit to wao dinners with fantastic Turkish dishes.

We visited L2 Restaurant to check out their Ramadan menu. The atmosphere at L2 is relaxed and unpretentious. It offers a very nice vibe to have a nice Iftar or Sohour. We are told that there is a small story behind every dish on the menu.

The most famous one is about "Hünkar Beğendi" – a dish out of 100 chosen by the Sultan himself several decades ago. Culinary excellence with more than 70 Ottoman dishes will be provided by the best chef that Turkey has to offer: Chef Samil – all the way from Izmir.

The selection of dishes is large. As most Ramadan menus L2 offers dinners a variety of salads, cold and hot meezeh stations. Baba Ghanog, Hummus, Muhamara, Tahina, Labneh, Moutabbal, Fattoush are on displayed at the Lebanese cold mezeeh station, while Kebbeh, Chicken Liver, Sambousek Cheese and sambousek Meat are offered at the Oriental Hot Mezeeh station. A great selection to start a fantastic meal. They are tasty and flavorsome.

Before heading out to try the main dishes one can also savor some delicatessens including, Turkish Bacon, Turkısh Sausage, Smoked Tongue, Chicken Ham, peppered beef and beef ham. We also recommend the Lentil soup which is rich in flavors.

When it comes to main courses we tried the Chickpea with beef, rice with pastry, a succulent oven baked eggplant and Lamb Chops with sauté vegetables.

The Turkish ravioli is a most as well as the stir-fried chicken with cashew nut. But by far the star dish is the mazing baked pepper seabass. This fish comes with baked potatoes and it is one of the best fishes we have had in a very long time, excellently cooked. We highly recommend it, it is a terrific main course.

The deserts are also very good in this menu and includes Baklava, Şöbiyet, Hanımgöbeği, Güllaç, Turkish ice cream and Umali, among others.

In regards to the prices you can enjoy an Iftar for QR 155 per person and Sohoor for QR95 per person. The Suhoor is a bargain - the best in the city!

Interested in brining your children? – they will not be bored. Especially for Ramadan there will be a kids room next to the restaurant.

The hotel is located only a few minutes walking distance from the most famous attractions in Doha: Souq Waqif, the Museum of Islamic Art and Corniche.
