Dear QL users,

A member of my family has recently received a job offer to work in Doha as a translator in the a military base there.
Very soon afterward, he received various emails from people warning him from going to qatar and for accepting the offer. After some time, some newspapers wrote about the issue, and reported that translators maybe asked to go to iraq or to be vulnerable to some attacks, as in qatar translators are considered as arabs working with the "enemy".He needs the job, but at the same time cannot deny the danger revolving around it. He is totally confused. Please if you are working there or having friends working there, do not hesitate to provide your assistance.

Thanks in advance.

The fact is true, and the person was confused! BUT look, disregard this thread as the person has now finally decided to go and take the challenge!

there are no military personnel from qatar working in iraq as of now and i think there are no plans in the future. they have been to lebanon though.
