Yacht Couple Finally Freed !

Great News ....

Paul and Rachel Chandler have been finally freed by the Pirates after 388 days in captivity.

The sad thing is that a ransoom was paid, but our government didn't do much.

So, what's the answer ?

Would the Americans or Israelis have acted differently. I believe so. They would have either paid the ransom or used force to free their citizens..

The ransom was not paid paid by the UK and the pirates were given LESS then asked for.

Thank god they are safe and going back home x

Make fast the guns tonight we sail

when the high tide floods the bay,

cut free the lines and square the yards

get the black flag stowed away

the Turk, the Arab, the Spaniard

will soon have pennies on their eyes

Kidnap the foreign hordes

or take asylum in a pleasant land

I will take you and make you

Everything you've ever dreamed.

They wanted to, but hurting the Pirates would have violated their human rights, there would have been a court case, and then the Pirates would have been given Asylum in England because they would have been at risk from other Pirates.....

This would have led to a Pi-Rights movement, where the skull and crossbones flag is flown at Buckingham Palace, and the national anthem is replaced with 'Yo Ho Ho and bottle of Rum', so as not to offend their beliefs.

Not true. Americans have been in those positions before and done nothing, as America "does not negotiate with terrorists" which basically means, if you get kidnapped in a dangerous area will do the bare minimum we can to get you free.

The Israeli's on the other hand...well...I wouldn't be kidnapping any Israeli's anytime soon.
