I can't understand why anyone would pay to use a lounge with the rich and famous ..

Would you use this facility given the chance ?

Dh1,500 gets you into Dubai airport's VIP Lounge: Fly with celebs, royalty, heads of state

The VIP Lounge at the Dubai International Airport - Terminal III is a mini airport in itself. With its state-of-the-art facilities and impeccable services that rival 5-star amenities, it is a much sought-after place among travellers.

Called the Al Majlis, the VIP Lounge is the favourite of world-renowned celebrities, says Najla Al Midfa, Manager, VIP Lounge. “About 90 per cent of the lounge users are wealthy Dubai residents,” she adds.

There is no differentiation between heads of states and common public. Anyone who uses the lounge receives the same facilities.

Saud Sharar, Executive Services, says, “Visitors to the lounge can also enjoy the same food as those of the guests.”

There are 50 luxury cars and 90 staff members, who have undergone intensive hospitality training to exclusively serve the VIP Lounge users, says Sharar.

He says, 90 per cent of users of the Lounge fly Emirates airlines. The rest 10 per cent take other airlines.

$15000 for 30 minutes work? What a rip off. A Saudi Prince paid $500,000 just to spend 30 minutes with Kristen Stewart, and she didn't have to sing or dance or do anything.

And that was paid in CASH.

I'd rather save my bucks and spend it on more meaningful things than hanging around a lounge celeb watching! But I given the kind of money made over there we must be a minority.. Then again those who spend that kinda money must be pretty loaded themselves and running outta ways to spend their riches!

The rich in an airport lounge?

Lol. They take private jets - straight from the car to the plane, without sitting around in lounges waiting for other passengers.

This is just a sales piece by the manager of the lounge, trying to drum up extra sales.

Sales gimmick Pays : Dubai is a tourist hotspot while it has 'nothing' touristic in comparison to nearby Jordon. Jordan attracts lesser tourists than Dubai while it has more touristic value- History, culture, nicer people, perfect climate, food, freedom......
