in blind dates. As long as you both understand the rules.

Beem on one once and it was a disaster. Me not him, I am such a klutz.

I've done it before. I agreed to dinner and a movie.

He was so boring, I left after appetizers and drinks.

I wonder what ever happened to him?

i've been on several blind meetings...some good, some bad. no big deal. Some i've continued to stay in touch with, while others i wouldn't dream of it! anyway, i don't like the word 'date' anyway...it sounds blah!

depends on what the purpose is.. if it's just for 'killing' some time, for just anothe outing, it's ok, why not? but i don't believe you can meet your lifemate this way... usually "this" happens when you least expect it.. but when you planning and thinking and hoping and expecting something, it will never happen....

It's complicated. 90% of the Arab world (in many Asian countries too and I'm sure somewhere else) frowns at and doesn’t allow dating. By dating I mean couples planning to get married hang out together alone (no moving in together). The concept of boyfriend-girlfriend is not allowed either.

BUT, there're always ways to get around what's not allowed, and here we can write the longest speeches tackling traditions, contradictions, current practices and the forbidden.

ibrahimz... if they go this way then you will find many person.. one Mr. Right, one Mr. Love, one Mr. Husband.. One Mr. Cook.. one Mr. Cleaner..

but the idea behind it.. don't let these guys meet each other.. then it's a perfect life :)

winner never quits and quitter never wins.. does it means that only one person will win all the time?

I think, it is good to try to find your partner in life, so you have to meet few, ladies, and ladies meet men, so they hopefully get their Ms. Right, and Mr. Love

but of corz it depends...

I will go on a blind date if one of my friends knows the man, surely he will be a good man because my friends knows what i like in a man..and ofcorz i will not go alone... i prefer to go out in group...and after a few more group date with him and i found out he is really trustworthy, respectable and good enough....then who knows what comes next....

If my friends or someone who knows me (and knows what I like and don't like) gets to choose the person, then sure.

If it's just some random person, who may have nothing in common with me, probably not.
