Would you adopt a horse

Would you adopt a horse if you could afford it ?

I was a little bit shocked when I visited the Qatarpets site and i saw that besides the usual apotable cats and dogs they also have a horse in need of a master .

Adopt a horse. Have your own horse in a private Stable. Dana is a 7 year old mare. She was rescued about a year ago, and now she is looking for a family to adopt and care for her. Dana is very calm and sweet natured. She requires a medium to fair skilled rider. See poster for more details.

I already wrote that it is shocking for me that there is a horse in need in this country where the upper ten obviously is great horse fan - and they certainly can afford supporting their pets . It was not your wish to help what surprised me ..

BUt the fact that there is a horse in need here .

Would you tell us the story of that mare ?

What breed is she ?

:) I also don't understand your post? What is so "shocking" about trying to find a home for a horse in need?

Many horses that have no use in racing can still live and move in a normal way. They are often working with sick kids :o)

If you're looking for a problem, you're probably gonna find one.

I see . So it must be very expensive thing to save them from their fate .I suppose most of the old or sick horses are shot ,there's no other way is there ?

It is an unethic practice : making friends with them - then let them slaughtered .

BUt the above mentioned horse might not be the case - since you can ride her .

As far as I understood he can remain in his stable supposed you are paying for that .I love horses too , but rather I just watch them .

alma, the same goes for all the other animals in there...not all of them are there bcoz someone just abandonned them.

there r places where they keep horses for racing- if they get too old or are not in the right shape or get sick, mostly they kill them, simply bcoz they r not profitable anymore or there is no time and money to take care of them.

...but it doesn't mean that they cannot be adopted, right?

If you're looking for a problem, you're probably gonna find one.

She's gorgeous! I wish I could adopt her but we're not in our country. and I wouldn't know where to put her. My hubby and I although he's allergic we loves horses so did my daughter.

It's great to be loved!

They aren't usually abandoned, they are taken from their owners because of abuse.

Up to now I thought that horses are not abandonned usually like cats or dogs . Usually they worth some money - so rather they are sold than abandonned - at least that has been my idea ...

Well, it's not like it's some wild animal alma...it's just a horse. Sure, u need more space for it than for a dog, but there is nothing weird about it. It just needs home :o)
