The world has gone mad........

Article posted on BBC website about an advertising poster on the London Underground. In short, it celebrates why Israel is a place to visit. However alongside the text is a map that apparently does not show clearly the boarders of neighbouring states. It does actually but not clearly enough, apparently

quote. The ASA said: "We understood that the borders and status of the occupied territories of the West Bank, the Gaza Strip and Golan Heights were the subject of much international dispute, and because we considered that the ad implied that those territories were part of the State of Israel, we concluded that the ad was misleading." unquote

I think the world has gone mad. Have we not got better things to complain about that a advertising poster stuck in a dirty tunnel in London?

Everyone has a right to complain and dosagree. This is the essence of a free society. In this case, the complaints have been proved valid . "In May, Israel's tourist ministry admitted it had made a "professional mistake" over the adverts and said no more maps would be used on its posters. "

My opinion.. PC gone mad. Yep agree wrong Advert in Wrong Place.. They could have advertised without the map and would still have got their message through.
