Scorpio - you couldn't be more right, but you also need a plane ticket, an exit permit, all of those to actually be valid/work (we all know how good QA is!!) plus plus.......

PML - most appropriate.

Don't even start on me. Of course I care about labour workers, and try to donate as much as possible when I can.. You obviously haven't read any of my posts, because if you did, you would SEE how much I care!!

Why can't I care for both humans and animals hey?

Thank god there are people like me who DO care about animals...especially with people out there like you with comments like "why worry about animals"...shame on you!!

By anonymous• 11 Jul 2007 16:11
anonymous

Why worry about animels. How about the humans caged in labour camps in Sanaia (industrial area) without basic human needs. Packed like sardins in their rooms. Doha zoo is much better looked after.

By Scorpio• 11 Jul 2007 15:46
Scorpio

How can staring in the eyes of miserable animals who are locked up in cages be wonderful?

Those poor animals :( why do they treat animals with so much inhumanity in Doha, and why is there no funding when it comes to their well being..makes me sick :(

The most wonderful place in Doha is the airport :)

Was it Qatar? Apparently not. I found this comment and link in a Transformers Discussion Group. (I really MUST get a life! lol)

"Actually the desert scenes were shot at Holloman AFB and White Sands National Monument, New Mexico.

That control tower and the f-117 made it pretty obvious"

The zoo is really disgusting here!!!!! Really, those poor animals...:( Their living conditions there are just awful!

But anyway, Sealine is very nice. I love the Cornishe too, and the view of the Diplomatic Area.

Khor Al Udeid, the beach in the border Qatar to Saudia.... The Desert --->> 2 to 3 hours hours drive from Sealine Beach.

It was amazing, seen some desert plants and of course Camels!

Cheers!

Been there few times. My husband car even being attacked by one of them. You can see the mark on the car if you want :-) If anyone interested sometimes in this coming winter i can ask my husband to take you there. You will need a 4 WD to go to the area. And we can go camping by the beach as well.

It is in the same area with Arab Movie Set.

by Zehreet, the remains of a movie set of the barbarian tribe stone huts and the civilized local arab houses are still there for people to have a look around - never seen the movie shot here though...and going on the quality "culturally heritage" on view the movie must have been a local block-buster, but if visiting watch out for the "wild" ostriches.

Cut and past i know!!!

I wasn't referring to Semeisma beach but one further north and very few people on it. Harrsement is very rare in this location, or if its not for you get a pet dog!

Ostrich in Duhkan Desert - you think the Doha zoo is bad how about putting poor "African" Ostriches into the desert and feeding /watering them as there is no natural vegetation or water - completely unsustainable. More misguided TIQ moments.

Still i take visitors to see them although they do look ina right state sometimes.......

I understand people in Doha joinging clubs for the beaches etc. but why on earth would you go to Al Bustan beach resort when there are better and longer beaches 10 minutes away, for example, in the Al-Dhakriha natrual reserve. You have to pay 200 QR for what should be a god given right to walk along the beach. There are too many defacto private beaches in Qatar now that ordinary people can't get access easily.

Yes, i'm a grumpy old git today.

I agree with Moonbeam about the zoo...I was there last year and I wouldn't ask anyone to go there. It was a hirrible view to me!

-----------------------------------------------------------

I like Al Khor beach-and picnics there.

Corniche during the day and the lovely colour of the water at noon.

If you're looking for a problem, you're probably gonna find one.

The Zoo? Oh goodness NO! The animals........poor animals is all I can say. Try going to a 'real' zoo, where the animals are treated properly and you'll see why Qatar Zoo is truly shameful.

Out of the list Sealine is nice. :)
