Woman expecting 12 BABIES to set new record

A Tunisian woman is set to break the world’s multiple pregnancy record after doctors said that she could deliver duodecaplets or 12 babies this month.

The woman, an Arabic language teacher who has had two miscarriages since her marriage in 2007 with a colleague, said that she was feeling fine and that she was looking forward to hugging her six boys and six girls.

The family who live in Gafsa, southwest of Tunis the capital, said that the multiple pregnancy was an amazing and wonderful miracle.

"In the beginning, we thought that my wife would give birth to twins, but more fetuses were discovered. Our joy increased with the growing number," said Marwan, the expecting father who teaches Arabic at a highschool.

"The medical team monitoring her case told us that my wife would give birth naturally," Marwan said.

Doctors are monitoring the Tunisan woman. The health and social ministries have said they would offer various forms of assistance to the mother and the family, the Assabah daily reported.

I thought that was funny. Good one ..!!

Anyway, having multiples is easy, most of the times. All you do is go to a doctor and he either puts you on pills, gives you injections, or -- the tube thingi .. Where they do their thing out of the mom, then they put it back in. Many cases the put multiples, but only 1, or 2, or maximum 3 survive from the early stages. But 12, subhan Allah. I am still amazed.

May Allah give her strength to deliver 12 babies.

May Allah bring these 12 angels into this world healthy and complete.

May Allah help her bring up these 12 the best she can.

Subhan Allah.

Their doctor must be an idiot to say that she will give birth naturally. A womans body CANNOT support the growth of 12 babies at the same time. Carrying all the babies increases the risk that she will loose all the babies and her own life. It was irresponsible of the fertility doctor to implant her with that many eggs, and it is irresponsible of her current doctor to let her continue carrying all the fetuses.

Most likely any babies that do survive will have numerous health problems.

Versi, I'm afraid if she wants healthy babies she's going to have to abort some of the fetuses. I know it's horrible, but nature didn't intend women to have 12 kids at a time, and these babies will be born incredibly premature, underweight and more then likely some of them will have brain damage.

Khattak. Absolutely yes. The ONLY thing that can cause multiple births of this magnitude is fertility drugs. This is not natural.
