Will the male of the species "Die out" ?

A DESPERATE dad last night begged medics for help – because he is turning naturally into a WOMAN.

Pub singer Terry Wright said: “I am a man, not a woman. And I do not want to be a woman.

“I just want to get my life back to normal.”

Father-of-five Terry, 60, started losing his hair and beard ten years ago.

Since then he has developed smooth skin, hot flushes – and boobs. And kids living nearby taunt him by calling him “She-Man”.

Blood tests have revealed Terry has abnormally high levels of the female hormone oestrogen. But doctors who have examined him say they have never seen such a case – and do not know what to do to reverse the process.

Wig-wearing Terry, of Birmingham, pleaded for an expert to come forward to get to the root of the problem.

He said: “Doctors call me an ‘interesting case’ and ‘unique’ but I just want to go back to being a proper man.

“I get mocked by kids where I live who call me She-Man and other names. Once a child bumped into me and its mother said, ‘Say sorry to the lady.’ My mates are shocked at my appearance but try to make light of it by saying I’m just a pretty-looking man.”

Terry’s 5ft 4in height and slim build make him look even more feminine. His GP suspected he was trying to change gender and even offered him a sex swap.

But Terry furiously rejected the suggestion.

A psychiatrist has judged him mentally sound and an MRI scan ruled out the oestrogen surge being caused by a tumour.

Specialist Professor Richard Ross said: “This case seems very unusual.”

So will his "member" turn into a "flower"??????

No, the result will be a mess. Shrinkage to at most 2-3 cm, and often a depth of 0-5 cm instead. The foreskin will remain external, a hollow tube. Scrotum and testes will shrink, and it's likely the testes will retract, leaving a small, shrivelled empty scrotum that could easily be mistaken for labia.

A mess. And the normal "penile inversion" sex reassignment surgery is impossible, as there's no penis to invert. If there is a depth, the urethra would have to be re-plumbed to a female position. No vaginal construction is needed if the patient is male.

Rather important if the patient is female though. Few surgeons in the world can handle such a case. The best is Dr Suporn in Chonburi, Thailand. Both my OB/GYN and myself are happy with the result. Both the plumbing and electricity work, if you get my drift. I always did have female device drivers in the brain, and that doesn't work well with defective male peripherals. With fully functional female ones, oh yes, they work. The only downside is lack of cervix, uterus, and ovaries. I'm as sterile as any other woman who's had a hysterectomy.

Type III may just possibly be due to the following:

Take a 46xy (male chromosomed) foetus. Under normal circumstances, a boy.

Then add high-grade Androgen Insensitivity Syndrome, so the cells aren't sensitive to Testosterone, the male sex hormone. The result will look female, possibly very female, and usually with a feminised brain. Testes will still be present, but ineffective, and internal. A short vagina and normal-ish clitoris. Basically, a sterile girl.

THEN add NonClassical Congenital Adrenal Hyperlasia. That will masculinise any foetus, 46xx or 46xy. It may not affect the brain though. The result will be something that looks almost normally male, but with a variety of anomalies. Might even be marginally fertile, but the lack of a normal penis would be a problem. There's be something there, but rather small for a penis, yet too large for a clitoris. A girl who looks mainly like a boy, but with a few anomalies.

Finally... administer a drug that will temporarily stop the symptoms of NC-CAH. The result will be something that looks male suddenly looking female. The hormonal chaos will cause rapid weight loss, and will usually be fatal. The genitalia will be a mess due to atrophy and shrinkage. Small, soft testes that will often retract internally, and the patient will have a shallow depth or short length, and an empty foreskin. A girl who mainly looks like a girl, and with a lot of anomalies.

That's the current theory anyway. I survived, obviously. AIS was diagnosed in 1985. NC-CAH recently. But it may be something else with the same symptoms.

April-May-June-September-October-November.

Quite a ride.

That's the point - there is no tumour to remove. Cancer had been ruled out as a cause.

A good job, because he'd be dead by now otherwise. Such hormone-secreting tumours tend to grow fast, are terribly malignant, and all medical science can do is give a few months extra. Or weeks.

I had more MRI scans, Ultrasounds, blood tests etc than you can imagine, trying to find neoplasms. But there were none.

So the level of estrogen in his body should be back to normal once the tumor is removed?

Similarly..

WASHINGTON - The female hormone estrogen can bend the gender of male fish that live in bodies of water contaminated with the residue of birth-control pills, a new study indicates.

For three years, Canadian scientists have put birth-control pills into a remote Ontario lake to measure this impact. The results: All male fish in the lake - from tiny tadpoles to large trout - were "feminized," meaning they had egg proteins growing abnormally in their bodies.

The experiment was intended to match the impact that the female hormone estrogen may be having on many American bodies of water, as city sewage systems empty waste into them that is contaminated with residue from birth-control pills.

One-third of male Pearl Dace minnows grew eggs in their testes. The entire population of the common Fathead minnow, once numbering in the several thousands, crashed to near zero because the hormone-stoked fish couldn't reproduce.

It's very rare, with just over a dozen cases known about worldwide.

All previous cases have had female gender identities, so it was a vast relief for them, not the descent into Hell it would be for any man.

Instant transsexuality - Man trapped in Woman's body.

It was hard enough to deal with for me in 2005, and at least for me it was going in the right direction. I got the Type III variety, which is dangerously fast. This case sounds like Type II, the most common, accounting for over 50% of cases. That takes a few years, not months.

The medical issues are bad enough: the legal ones are worse. Trust me on that. In places where transsexuality is a serious criminal offense, a medical condition like this can land you in all sorts of trouble.
