Why so much hate - Part II

Formatted Soul
By Formatted Soul

Opinions are one’s 'personal truths', although they may (or may not be) based on facts, they are NOT concrete...Debating... to me, is the display and act of seeking truths. One must be able to speak and explain their truths, but also be prepared to listen to and analyze the contrary.

Many people have entered sensitive posts, not to have the possibility of learning and widening their vision, but more to have their biased (I say BIASED because they are claiming THEIR personal opinion as the ONLY truth, which it cannot be) opinions reinforced and praised. It doesn’t really reflect the post itself, but one’s EGO, all about shouting the loudest, insulting, demeaning and getting your voice, your opinion heard over the other person. There’s nothing to be achieved except hard feelings and resentment with such people.

This is egotistical, argumentative, accusing approach is what has soured many people here on QL. …Do we really need intellectual and ideological pollution?

The discussions are tougher here because the apreciation of statistics and data isn't the same as other boards where people would get laughed at after first op, hence we get silly "XYZ happens so much in US/UK" even though there is little/no Gulf data.

Qlers quit, It is their own choice; Why don't you see how many new QLers joined recently.

People need freedom of expression BUT everybody has his own definition of Liberty and freedom.

We could limit somehow, HOW I don't know!

You can't make each and every person learn to respect, good behaviour and discipline.

May be somebody have better IDEAS!!!

Who am I to say not to have any discussion...I am not a self declared moral police of QL.. I just said what I observed..If you read again the first para...you will understand what my problem is...

Stealth...you are free to ignore this post as a sane poster..no issues at all..lol

Azam am really not interested in doing what many others are doing here..

Shreeya..thx..lol your humor filled comments makes this place lively.. just trying to say that these false accusations and reluctance to analyze others opinion had made many old members quit this forum..

Azam, still I love my 'incapable friend'....one of the purest soul on QL...wish I could write like her some day...

FS, this is the beauty(?) of a virtual site. Anybody can say anything hiding behind the screen without taking care of any consequences...

Everything gonna be alright!!!

I don't see how having intellectual discussions is pollution? If anything actually having discussions is what seperates QL from other sites. If all we did was answer salary enquiries and talk about the weather this site would have died long ago.

I dont know whether my thoughts really offended anyone.

I am GUILTY but not ready to learn any more!

Personal opinions and views always differ and difficult to be accepted universally.
