I noticed some of the threads here are in Tagaluk, well this is an international site. So I think it would be fair to everyone, if they use english instead of posting threads in different languages and it would be less racist that way.
One of the reasons for creating groups is to serve this purpose. If everyone would be opening threads on the general forum with their mother tongue language then we would really have a problem understanding each other.
Having individual groups helped organizing the website and give people the chance to discuss their issues or interests in a way that won't disturb the general forum or other people.
If I would be for example opening always threads talking about fishing on the main forum, then it would be kind of disturbing to other people [in addition to the smelly threads :)] and will confuse them.
People find it easier to communicate in their own language, if you can understand the language and comment on the threads then that would be great. If you can't then it is ok, the people their would appreciate and understand that you were trying to help somehow but could not because of the language barrier.
Cheers brother and have fun ...

thexonic...as explained above, we will try to regulate usage of tagalog even in our group....however as mentioned of some here, you can simply ask what we were talking about and we are more than happy to explain it to you...
and speaking our own language does not mean that one is racist...and eveyrone of us hates to be accused of being one....

what they are talking/discussing about...no big deal. And please don't interject "racism" again. This site has been flooded with anti-WHATEVERs, which in my point of view (BITE ME) is quite unnecessary. People log in to QL to alleviate boredom, interact and have fun discussing any topic... Sorry for the outburst, guys(must be that time in the month...hehehehe). It's just that I've been on the READ MODE for quite sometime, it's kinda irritatingly boring. let ppl speak in whatever language they wish. who says that everybody can speak and understand english anyway? there might be more tagalog speakers here in doha than native english speakers. i don't see it as racism.
thexonic...its "tagalog" ...Filipinos dialect....hmmmm, if you will check out those threads where majority of us are conversing in tagalog....you will noticed that you enter one of the sub groups here in QL --that's Qatar Living Filipino Expats http://qatarliving.com/group/filipino-expatriates-in-qatar ....its not that we are mainly having fun there but it is somehow one of the priviledge that a sub-group has...like the moroccan, malaysian, the greeks group herein... http://qatarliving.com/og to speak our native tongues, though some of us try to regulate the usage of our language for the benefit of readers..
so i hope it explains that we are not becoming racist here..but it so happen that you click on one sub group.. :)
