Why not Air conditioned buses for labors ????

MANAT2010
By MANAT2010

I use to see the labors sitting buses and keeping windows open and traveling to their home every day

Why cannot all companies provide Air conditioned buses for their hardworking labors .
after working in this burning temperate and humidity again they have to travel by bus to their home 2-3 hours which is located outside the city.

I think it is time to provide some good facility to labors who build the nation …...

TCM, yes...

Strange thing is, you find AC shelters in west bay, having less bus commuters.

They don't even have sheltered Bus Stops. Most places just a pole with Karwa Bus stop Signage.

However if labour don't complain.. then it is really really difficult.. as most of them are afraid of losing their jobs..

I have some horrible pictures of a camp where they did not get paid for six month but authorities have already solved their issue and sent back home as their employers did not have any profitable business anymore.

Because A/C'd buses cost more and need more maintenance. Also, It's for their health. Switching from a nice cool bus to the heat of work outside may cause them to fall ill :O(

hmm....today I read in the GT that labourers are not complaining at all. they said they live really well. From what I read, they even have gyms, tvs, jacuzzis and steam rooms available.

You can read it in gulf times today.

Radius, saying that they dont need an ACed bus because they have BAD ODOR is plain out stupid and Idiotic mate. These guys are working hard, under extreme temperatures just to be able to provide for their families back at home. Please think before you post

haq87 gd points .... if you ask any labor they say we asked to company but they say no to AC bocz of money....

Salaries should be monitored by the regulatory authority by implementing Wages payment systems all over the country.

and this system should has to be closely monitored by the team of experts to identify the companies who are not paying salaries on time. and they should be able to intiate a legal action against these companies without interferance of any VASTA ppl.

There is a medical reason as well... When working in Hot weather you shouldn't directly sit under the AC that causes chest congestion, Nausea and dehydration as well.

Contracting companies should have more laborers so that each batch works in 6 hours shift with proper attire.

to provide Air conditioned buses for labors it doesn't need big study or vision it require just a law and all companies should follow it ......and it is possible and we can see some good response from workers also...

the least we can do for these poor workers ..... provide them with decent air condtitioned transporation and accommidation.

And I dont want to hear that thier living standards where they come from is worst.

corporate greed... hope that the Qatari government would start regulating things that are related to the working class; hint, regardless of the owner's tribe, last name or affiliation.

Some companies have provided fans and some A/C as well.. but most of the employers have their old buses running.

Even when I am in hurry, I always allow them to merge in my lane as they are working very hard and traffic makes it worse for them to go and rest..after a hard day of work, regardless of their surrounding, I saw most of them sleeping very deep while going back home.

Why not no NOC and Exit permit?

if you look at them, when your waiting for green signal in traffic signal ,you can see some removed shirts and helping themselves by hand for fresh air and looking at you in benz or BMW !!!!!

"I rhink it's time to build some good faciity to labours who build the nation"?.The authorities are already working on this issue.

it might not be a good idea; the sweat odor cycling through the AC will be intolerable. better open the windows.

however, i hope they got ACs at home

if company provide airconditioned bus to all labors, it will not take months for the aircon compressor to work because of the bad ODORS :)
