WHY LOVE IS FATTENING FOR WOMEN

hms
By hms

Queensland: Researchers have found that marriage and babies might make women happy, but they can also cause unprecedented weight gain.

University of Queensland researchers Annette Dobson, Professor of Biostatistics, said that apart from motherhood and menopause, childless women in their late 20s and 30s who are married or living with their partner put on more weight than single women, and when they had a baby the weight goes up again, about 9.2 kgs over a decade.

Researchers also suggest that unlike a single woman who is engaged with a certain busy lifestyle, being a couple creates a cocooning effect, where one stays home more often and eats or drinks more.

I didn't say others to accept it..It was my view to accept if u can read it again...Kindly don't put the comments on other way always..CHEER UP!!!!

Its absolutely fine with me if u don't eat ur baby's leftovers..

By soniya• 18 Jun 2010 11:18
soniya

yup, i was serious..i m not the kind of person who believes in throwing off the leftovers everyday..Its not my mentality atleast..i don't mind eating my baby's food which she is having our normal adult food now if she leaves some part of it at the end..After all its me whoz feeding her...

I didn't force neone..I told my views..

Some ladies said it as YUCK which surprised me and i even gave the reason that no food can be called YUCK until n unless ur baby vomits in it..i hope its ok to u..

By drmana• 18 Jun 2010 11:13

Soniya, are you serious? If we don't eat it, why accept it? No body is stopping anyone from accepting if they do. You are talking as if we eat the leftovers and are pretending we don't.

No, most of the mothers or wives do not eat leftovers and I for one belong to that group. This is not boasting or pretending. This is normal.

By soniya• 18 Jun 2010 11:10
soniya

sabina, time will tell u to deal with these FREAKY things..U won't say YUCK at that time when u will experience the MOTHERHOOD..Tell me one thing, is it wise to throw leftover foods everyday??I am sure NO..

There is no harm in eating ur baby's leftovers(not infant foods)until n unless they vomit in it..lolzz..

By soniya• 18 Jun 2010 11:07
soniya

sabina and to other ladies, for your kind information left over doesn't mean the YUCK foods..Sometimes kids r unable to complete their food(i m not talking about infant's food like cerelac or juices)on time..They eat only that proportion which satisfies their stomach..I don't think there is any harm in eating those foods after all it was feeded with the clean hand and utensils..right??

I do agree sometimes a woman after becoming a MOM has to eat the leftovers of her baby..

Why to have shame on accepting it??? To be a MOM is the biggest boon by a GOD..So enjoy it..

their weight, figure, structure, what ever you people call.

But after marriage due to aditional responsibility of their partner needs, she has to adjust her self.

No diet concious immediately after marriage, during pregnency she has to eat more to keep babyhealthy, after 1 kid she has to eat little more extra to feed the baby, after one year of child birth putting on weight starts as intially she has to eat the left over of the kid, later she will have to eat the leftover of what she cooked just to keep husband n kid happy to eat only fresh food.

With all this definitely she will put on weight.

By the time she realise her self it is too late to reduce then start Gym,walk, yoga etc etc to please her husband and his coments to reduce weight

This is soooooo true, its a real simple research. Have seen so many people after getting married they stop taking care of themselves like they used to do before. Secondly, yes after maternity obviously there are physical changes in body but after words you can always trim those back. Its upto you how you want to look like and your motivation to look as you used to be. Its tooooooo personal and varies person to person, generally speaking I agree with this theory ………..!!!

What kind of a word is that "shapeless"??? you make it sound that a bag of potatoes or something...would be nice if you guys could have kids then you would see what it does to your bodies... and for the record most guys when they get married get "shapeless" which is sadder site than the women... believe me dishevelled and a beer belly in not a nice thing to come home to either !!!

True for me. I'm but on 10 kilos since meeting my hubby a year and a half ago. Before I met him I always had time for the gym and for this and that, now I just want to spend time with him and the gym tends to slide.

A woman has to do numerous works after a baby born..U guys must be having some idea so i won't go in detail..It leaves very lesser time to them to look after themselves and thus results in putting on weight..Her job is not easy to get done by a MAN..So HATS OFF TO MOTHERHOOD..

By drmana• 17 Jun 2010 13:43

I have been married for more than three years and have a 2 year old child, but I am still trying to reach my pre-marriage weight. Its all about diet and lifestyle...nothing to do with marriage or childbirth.
