This is why I prefer the Saudi Justice System

People complain about the harshness of the Saudi Justice System, but I think I prefer it to our pathetic system..

A man who sexually assaulted a 13-year-old was fined just £20 - the day before the girl's dad got a £50 parking ticket.

Rulanas Kochanauskas, 31, pounced on the youngster as she walked home across a footpath and groped her breasts.

The teenager ran home in tears and alerted her 40-year-old dad.

With the help of his daughter he tracked down Kochanauskas to a shopping centre, got him in a head lock and called cops.

The man, initially denied the assault but later admitted a charge of indecently touching a girl aged 13 in a sexual way without her consent.

Magistrates fined him £20 and ordered him to pay his victim £80 compensation. The girl's dad was furious when next day he was given a £50 ticket for parking "inappropriately" at a supermarket.

The dad, who cannot be named to safeguard his daughter's identity, said: "It's a disgrace. "

britexpat,

In fact you are wrong m8!

There is no evidence whatsoever that behading, chopping hands etc etc.....has any effect on people commiting crimes, apart from it being barbaric. Any society is much more complex than it meets the eyes!!

I won't say more on this subject!!!

I completely agree with BritExpat!!!!

Parking fines in Saudi are much more higher! Their justice system is much more fair!

While I agree that the punishment should be harsher in the West, I can't say I prefer the Saudi system.

Ridiculous....

Magistrate was kind enough to order £80 to the victim... father can borrow £50 from his daughter...lol

The traffic police didnt know the situation under which he parked there...maybe they will revoke his fine when they know the facts...

By GodFather.• 10 Nov 2009 09:23
GodFather.

BritExpat. The £50 fined must been issued by the company who operates supermarket car not the Police.

Where as the Magistrate actually works for the establishment. Should atleast locked the guy and put him on the sex offenders list and named and shame him and also a hefty fine to deter him to repeat his obscene act.
