Why?

Why is it that when arguments take place it goes into below the belt punches? Do we find a special joy in that? Seems like no one is immune to it or is it that it is done deliberately?

yeah, if you live in a small village its difficult........I know I was brought up in a small village in Cambs was no problem for me as I was 4 years old but no matter how long you live there you are never accepted as a local........thats English village life I suppose.

Will now move to Qatar, been in so many places I wont have a problem intergrating, something I have been doing for the last 30 years.

We recently sold up our London address and moved to Bedfordshire. We are slap bang on the coach route between Oxford and Cambridge :o) Almost bought a place in Ely. Plumped for Beds in the end.

Can't see us retiring there, though. Never know ... but think I got to meet and know more people here in 3 months than in 3 years in Bedford, despite working locally for a while!

Jauntie, actually Im in Holland at the moment, getting my budgets together both for the set up phase of the company and operating budgets.

When I get them finished will come over and discuss with the Qatari partners and probably hang around for a couple of weeks longer. I expect to be perm. on qatar in about 6 weeks.

Germany wasnt too bad, I actaully built a house there as my base but spent most of my time working away in the world, Saudi, Italy, South Korea, Japan, Ukraine, Russia, Bulgaria, Romania, Kasakhstan etc.

Beleive me there are worst places than Germany and certainly worse than Qatar.

Jauntie, he was English real name Edward of Woodstock (1330 to 1376), Prince of Wales, eldest son of Edward III and father of Richard II.

He died before his father and therefore never became King, the first Prince of Wales were this happened.

Actaully Alexa I didnt, the problem with an ever increasing older retired population is a common one to most countries but the falling birth rate is a specific German problem, especially as this is now been happening for many years, it is not a new problem.

By the black prince• 11 Oct 2007 14:13
the black prince

I never called you a typical German, you used it yourself, the word typical doesnt appear in my messages and I certainly have no wish to either imply or say that I am refering to you personally in any of my remarks.

I never missed anything in Germany, quite the opposite, I watched, listened and learnt. Generalizing again unfortunately, German woman are intelligent, logical, independant carrer minded people who are very self assured and confident. The problem lyes that due the fact that in Germany people are living longer, the child birth rate to falling the burden on the available work force is becoming greater. They must support an ever increasing older generation which requires especially women to work longer and make long and lasting careers, the wife and mother role is of course still there but for much of the younger generation of women a career becomes a greater importance, which is neither they fault or in alot cases there wish.

The trouble in all this is that German women have lost alot of there femininity on the way, again not because of choice. I have had many discussiona and talks with so many of of female freinds in Germany who readily admit to this problem.

It difficult after a hard day grinding out a career in a still Man dominated Germany to come home and start to be feminine.

By the black prince• 11 Oct 2007 13:34
the black prince

How would I know, well firstly I have lived over 20 years in Germany..........so on that one I have some slight knowledge on......and generalization in its true form automatically includes for that there are individuals that are not covered by the generalization.

By the black prince• 11 Oct 2007 13:20

The problem is with you German ladies is that you have the selection process down to a fine art, its for you a logical process and somewhere along the line you forgot to calculate something in the process

Did he post earlier? I miss that then, I am busy at immigration today. anyway, people should not take it seriously. lots of them ask me assistance I just have to let them know this is not in real life. Been mooching around QL for a while now. I love reading the posts and have learnt a great deal from you all, it's been an invaluable source of information whilst settling in here in Qatar. However, reading fueds and nasty comments is not fun and I'm pretty certain it's not what was intended for this forum. All in my opinion.... just bored of it, that's all.

Morning People had a great morning today. not much people at immigration no queue but visa for Yaya is not ready yet I thought we're lucky few people are there! after Eid again "Insha'Allah!"

been to the traffic police as well they are still issuing sticker for registrations. long queue for men no queue for me. so I had my sticker in my hand after 5 minutes.

The problem is that this is an ideal medium for some people to get rid of their frustration and anger without actually coming face to face with their opponent. They can be rude, down right insulting and dont face any concequences. These people take satisfaction in the attention that such aggressive actions and words bring, I must say on this site their are really a few prime examples of people who have to be goody two shoes at home and are taking out their pent up aggression on this site. Its a shame, this is a good site but it has been Hijacked by a small minority of mindless thugs who have nothing better to do than redicule and insult anything and anybody.

I came here to see who things are and who is around, have some fun.......to be honest dont think I will hang around here much more unless things improve

I'm pleased to see that response from you. I really thought that gentleman's post earlier today, giving out personal information of another QL member, was totally out of order.

Dear peacefulmusliman,

Thanks! I really appreciate it. but sorry to tell you I don't really know this people in person very well and I do not want to do anything serious damage to them in real life. that is not fair! We here in QL sometimes do argue and I am sorry! this is not in real life and sorry if this bothers you! but don't worry people sometimes are just in a bad mood. hey! they do have fun here too you know? enough socializing going on maybe you should meet them first before you judge them, I'm sure they are different in real life. Thanks once again and enjoy posting. don't worry! typhoons do come and go! Cheers!

Advance Eid Mubarak!

deliberately?...hmmm..as i commented on one thread..i wonder sometimes if this "fights" "name calling" "hitting below the belt" are sort of "scripted" (its like watching WWF match)..you know when some users have this "silent agrreement" that we have to fight just get the attention or to get thread going...a conspiracy theory..

just my thoughts..
