Well if you present to QL admin (using the contact link at the top of the page) a methodology of how you can block and individual user in Qatar I'm sure they'd appreciate it.

I don't know how many more ways I can try and explain this to you.

Let's try an example;

- Someone breaks the QL guidelines

- You find their IP address is 89.211.100.123

- You look up the details of the machine using that IP (not sure this is possible, but let's assume it is for now)

- The look up returns you details of 1000s of machines, because they are all using that IP address

- Which of these 1000s of machines do you block?

Ofcourse u can get the details of a computer using the IP adres..

What i'm saying is, if u have 1000 computers in one IP, if u get the details of the particular computer in that IP, u can block that computer. if the person is using static IP, ther wont be any difficulty. But if he is using a dynamic IP, it is complicated, but then also u can block that !!!

Firstly, I'm not sure you can find out details about the computer from an IP address, but for this purpose let's assume you can.

So you have an IP address, but as I explained there are 1000s of computers using that IP address. How do you know which computer is the one you want to block? Get it?

nah, wat i mean is, cant they block a particular computer(trolls) with out blocking the full IP ?

I'm sure it'll only take one click to ban someone and will take much longer to set up a new account. Most of the trolls I've seen here do it a couple of times then get bored and move on.

No. Even if you could get details like that from the IP address it wouldn't work here because 1000s of users are sharing that address, so which one should you block?

if u have the IP adres, u can get the details r8 ? i mean the the serial code of the computer etc ? cant they block a particular PC using that ?

Qtel has configured IP addresses so that multiple users appear to have the same IP. Hence if you ban 1 Qatar IP address you block 1000s of people. So it's not an option.

Do you have a way for the moderators to stop someone creating a new ID?
