Whats next to Prado
There are many forums similar to this one, but I wanted to ask for 2015 models... Though my priority is "peace of mind" (most of the cars ARE.. for first 3 years), i am concentrating on long term run car. I cannot go for Prado (first choice) due to the cost. So the next similar size SUV within 120K range I could find is Pajero. Should I buy it? Would like to know from your experience, what are the main difference between the Prado and Pajero, By buying Pajero, what I will loose other than resale value, compared to Prado, any thing I will gain in Pajero,? Should i increase the budget and choose Prado, but is worth it? Have anyone been to showroom recently, so that we can know real price, not the one listed online, not even on the price tag listed in front of car in the showroom, salesman says real price, I guess. From best of your knowledge, is it possible for you to list the differences, as for me, more important is... after 3 to 4 yrs... less visit to garage, frequent changes of spares, better service, driving pleasure, little bit entertainment system... Please your valuable thoughts.... Thanks for reading.
I was just recommending the Best SUVs it's 2 visible doors but there are four,other doors have to open after opening front doors it's designed that way for safety purpose especially if family with small children and back seats also available you may visit Toyota showroom..otherwise if in doubt i can assist..
Thank guys for responding, pajero and Prado has similar equation as fas as this forum is concerned, thou Prado in some comments is highly recommended.
Jones, I never had Toyota and would like to give my opinion to your expertise, Rav 4 is smaller, Prado 2.7 has bad reputation and would FJ Cruiser recommended for family as it has only two doors.
Please enlighten.
@Silence, Being an expert with Toyota Vehicles,i would recommend you to have a look at Toyota FJ Cruiser (SUV) or Prado either 2.7-litre 4-cylinder and a 4.0-litre V6,, or RAV 4 all these has a very good driving pleasure as well as warranty btween 3 -5yrs maintenance also easy..

Go for Pajero, FJ Cruiser or Nissan X-Terra. But Pajero's got great value for the price.
Go for prado. U can find certified used prado at toyota used car showroom with warranty and less miles on clock.
Pajero is useless crap. no driving pleasure or resale. Increase u r budget and go for prado . Best of luck....Happy Wheeliing.......
First u say I cannot go for prado due to the cost then u say should I increase the budget and choose prado. Your second statement negates the first. Isn't it? So go for prado the best one for peace of mind.
Prado 4.0L TxL costs QAR 159,000.. Perfect for long term use in every aspect..
If you have plans to stay that long in Qatar and also have more budget, then go for Prado (5 years/100K warranty) with cheap dealer services, spare parts and less headache. If your budget is tight, buy either 3.5L/3.8L Pajero. Pajero ranges between 108 K to 115 K. You can only get latest & discounted prices from showroom. Pajero is a true off-road vehicle with 3rd row seats, more power for low gearing while driving off-road. Safety features are more in Pajero (if you value life !)..Music system is also good....Check in showroom for dealer/maunfacturer warranty i it is for 3 yrs or 5 yrs. Pajero services, spare parts & maintenance is little more than Prado, but NOT too much diff....Even re-sale value of Pajero is almost same to Prado, not much to compromise after 5-6 yrs...Pajero does drives, stays & looks good after 5 years, if it is properly serviced & maintained through dealer....Any vehicle stays good if its looked after good...
