Shady places to sit along the corniche. Pavements. Paintball. Free or so cheap its almost free open air rock concerts, plays, even operas (if we really really have to). Greek food. Less time at work, more time for fun. More public holidays but only if we get all the above.

A RAIL TRANSIT might solve all these traffic jams...considering there will be less cars or whatever..In UAE I heard they're starting to build an underground railroad fromm Abu Dhabi to Dubai and probably to all other emirates. Just imagine guys..from Doha to Al-khor it might take you an hour in a bus but maybe 15 min. from a rail transit...whoooppeeeee!

we live in a peninsula for crying out loud, and you keep searching for a public beach on weekends!

Before there was the beach near the diplomatic club & they took it...

Before there was the lovely Palm Island & they closed it...

Before there were 2 wonderful restaurants (Paradise & Al-Bandar) directly on the water front & they demolished them...

if you pay peanuts you get monkies

thats one thing qatar is missing.
