Hi

 

Be very careful if you see a caller with +245 appearing on your phone. It's from Guinea Bissau and cut's off straight away. I presume it's a scam to get you to call back, at great cost. So avoid !

Good morning everyone.

 

I receive those calls at least once a week. normally around mid nite. Some of my mates receive them too.

 

So annoyng.

Forgetting calling any international numbers. I never call even a local number I do not know recognise the number or if i am not expecting a call from someone.

mostly from senegal. and you dont need to answer back. they mostly try to dail from internet phones.

call them back and it's a premium line. They get paid for you calling it.

what is this?  people just call you and hang up, then expect you to return the call?  what do the scammers get out of it?  i've recieved calls like this, but i never understood why

Thanks for the warning. I got a call from the same code and googled it to discover it was from Guineau Bissau. Didn't see anything about it being a scam, but it most probably is.

Folks I have been to Guineau Bissau..... what really shocks me is that there is a phone that works there! Honestly... all electricity was working off generators when i was there.....

This country is turning into a narco state for traficking.
