Vodafone to open call centre for Tagalog.
19 May, 2010: Vodafone Qatar announced that its call centre will soon be able to service its customers in the tagalog language.
The means that Vodafone will provide its thousands of Filipino customers with a full customer experience in their own language, including general product information, an overview of current promotions, and the option to speak with a Vodafone Qatar Customer Care Champion.
The addition of Tagalog to its language options will make Vodafone Qatar's Call Centre the only call centre in Qatar and in the region to offer services in 5 different languages (English, Arabic, Malayalam, Hindi and tagalog).
"Our Filipino customers are very important to us and to make their Vodafone customer experience even better we wanted to service them in their own language," said Daniel Horan, Vodafone Qatar's Director- Consumer Business Unit.
"This is yet another effort in our journey to make a world of difference for all the people in Qatar," continued Daniel Horan.
The Filipino community is estimated to be the third -largest group of expatriates in Qatar, after Indians and Pakistanis and who rely on mobile telecommunications to connect with family and friends in Qatar and back home in the Philippines.
