The V.I.P. Treatment on the road
Last thursday nite, while am waiting the light turns green (am in turn left lane) I saw a police car from my background with all their sirine and light flasing.
The police apparently guiding very VIP person and ask everybody to go forward while the light is still red, I saw some confusion on their faces but they do what the police say and keep driving forwardm so the VIP can go through.
And I saw the camera doing the magic, the flashes was like a disco light, was good actually seing the chaos but then am thinking, what happened if I am in the same position, the camera catch me speeding and crossing the red light which the fine is more 6000 riyal.
Can I argue with the traffic police and explain to them what happened so I dont have to pay the fine???? cos is not my fault after all.
Anybody have similiar incident or experiences??? please share with me.

similar thing happened to me at mamoura signal where the police car behind me was escorting an ambulance. thank god there is no camera(not that i know of) at that signal.
i guess u will have to wait for a few days and then check online if u got a ticket! if u do go to the department and try to talk to them.

Check your vehile fine at moi.gov.qa if there is any fine then go immediately (ASAP) and tell them the reason why you crossed the red signal. And i am sure they are aware of such VIP RED ALERTS !!!

milla dnt worry..this happend to me 2 or 3 weeks back near the airport signal..the police stoped all green signals and asked us to clear for incoming vip vehicles, it was red and maybe like about 10 cars got flashed just to let the vip's go..so when i went to clear things out with the police,i explained the situ and they said they knw about it and cleard the violation..
iam sure who ever the police who asked you to jump the red would have made a time stamp and passed it on to the traffics department..

well guys, i really scared that the police play their card and keep their stubborn head saying you break rules and pay the fine. am really confused now and scared actually. they can say anything and in the end they will say "is not your country". i better bang my head againts the wall then...

if u wll have flash voilation ...while doing the ISTAMARA thing...ask them to show u the pic of the voilation..there u can show them the sistuation and explain them what happen at the signal

Radar must have caught the Police and VIP cars too , so don't worry you won't be fined by traffic Police.
