VEHICLE ON FIRE AT DOHA CORNICHE

The people who crowded the Doha Corniche to see the spectacular fireworks and laser shows as part of the national day celebrations also witnessed an out of the script inferno show at around 9pm. No was injured. Minutes later fire fighters arrived at the scene and extinguished the fire even though the vehicle was completely damaged. Let's hope such bad events won't happen again.

@simplexcomplex: No, the general tendency is for Qatar to always improperly schedule the directions of policed traffic into 'sheep herding' 1-way paths that lead into more blocked exit paths that lead into even more blocked exit paths. Over the years it has taken from 1-2 hours to get INTO the sheep parking pens, and 2-3 hours to get out. NOW it take 1-1 1/2 hours to get into the sheep areas, almost ZERO parking for QND so streets stayed packed, and 4-5 hours to get out again because there were only 3-4 streets allowed to be used for exiting. Complex simplicity at it's finest... ;^P
