you are right...

no one says the u must be a veggi...

any one can each both veg and non veg....

but i prefer vegg.. more than non veg.

the reason is....

fruits and veg provide more energy than non veg.

the digestion is simple and no load to stomach.

apart from this there are many reason to be a veg.

if u want spiritual growth, u must be veg.

and by veg... it does not mean u can eat any fruits and any vegetables..

there are a list of things which can be used.

so u see....

you diet depend on ur body needs and what u want to do with ur body..

people can live without food...

only by drinking water....

At the Dasnam Hypermarket. I haven't tried them yet as I still don't even know how to turn on the stove, but I FOUND some! In Doha.......

(Oh and Carnivores, can we make a deal, we vegetarians will talk amongst ourselves and you please stop criticizing our choice - thanks :) )

jay420 - all that "ahimsa - do not hurt living creatures" hindu mythology is based on the fact that plants don't feel pain (and probably they didn't even see them as living in those days). j.c. bose an indian scientist was the first to propose that plants had something akin to a nervous system and responded to stimuli, felt pain etc. how ironic!

Eat meat along with greens and be healthy. If you dont eat meat Vitamin B12 will not be present (except in Soya , which i know 99% of Indians will never eat).

God created us to eat both Meat and Veg. No where in Hinduism does God/Gods want us to be Veggie.
