schengen visa have to be apply from the country of entry. Means if you want to visit German, French then Poland you will have to apply the schengen visa frmo German.

I applied a sechengen visa from German embassy for visiting Lapland last December. It was tough ... i have to go there like 5 times. We booked our lapland tour by internet and they wont take itnernet booking. The tour company in the UK have to write a letter for me and fax it to us.

Call up the embassy and tell them your plan as formalities may differ from country to country, they will give you the best advice and tell you how long it will take. Perhaps if you say it is an emergency they will process it a little faster.

hang under a truck thro' the tunnel, when you get to England, claim Asylum and you will get free housing, phone, money and a free UK passport....

usually they require about 8-10 business days before submitting your passport, and then another couple of days to stamp the visa in the passport

You can fill up the application form along with the required documents and ask the immigration guys in your office, if they can help you to submit it. It will take only two days.

By anonymous• 28 Apr 2008 13:33

Then you will also need an invitation from your brother, there are stipulations for this and as QS has given you the link just call them and get the information.

I am doing this for a friend in the Office as they want to go to Austria to visit a n oldschool friend.

I know in Germany, having done this a few times - I had to send a letter of invitation, bring the contract for rent of my appartment, bring a plan of the appartment, and buy a health insurance which was issued by the (ADAC) the road association in Germany.

You can find the forms online go to google and find

Schengen Visa

Download the Official Schengen Visa application. Schengen Visa requirements and application forms included.

With this you can inform yourself before you go to any embassy.

not only that.. he will need a Holet booking / or any other confirmation of the duration of staying in the country.. if it's a business visa, they will ask for the Invitation letter from the Company, and so on.. so definitely he needs to apply for shengen visa at the embassy of the country which he is going to travel to...

However, many nations do need it and it allows them to travel through Europe with one visa instead of having to go to each embassy for a visa.

In Europe it is more or less common knowledge.

without physically going to the embassy.. Just gather all required papers, and send someone from your office to one of the european embassies. Then in two weeks somebody needs to bring your original passport to this embassy, and couple of days later someone will pick up your passport from this embassy.

For the UK Visa here is the agency which provides such services:

UK Visa Application Centre:

462-2159/462 1544

good luck!

No the Shengen Visa does not include the UK because the UK don't really belong to Europe they are an a couple of Islands.

You need to go through the British Embassy to get the visa for Britain.

coolquietman

Actually many people don't know what it is, and if they are not confronted with actually having to deal with it. The expats and here and in other countries know about it because without it they can'ttravel around Europe.

You will have to go through formalities and ifyou don't have time for it you will not be able to go. Anyway, depends on what passport you are holding.

This agreement allows you to travel through European countries with on visa only.

The Schengen agreement is named after a village in Luxemborg where the agreement was signed in 1985 by France, Germany, Belgium, Luxemborg and Netherlands. Since than many have joined and Norway and Iceland being the only two non-EU nations joined later.
