Will anyone be kind enough to give me the direction to the Turkish Embassy please? I rang them and they only said it is near Phillipines Embassy ... and i have no idea where that is.

Thank you in advance! :D

time do you arrive in Istanbul? THY have a habit of leaving the last flight to Izmir until all are on board.

Petrol is expensive at approximately YTL2.80 a litre.. Diesel is YTL2.30 a litre.

Car hire works out at about £20 a day in season. I will have a word with friends who live in Kusadasi (aka Kus) and run a forum of which I am a member. They have contacts with car hire organisations in Kus.

Driving here is bad so the hotel offer may be worth while but is probably available cheaper outside.

It may be possible to obtain tourist visas for you hubby and child prior to leaving Doha. The Turkish Embassy will obviously know if that's possible.

Any queries, send me an e-mail. There are other tips too and I will contact you by PM.

IOU ... thank you for the map ... it is very clear, i am sure i can find the place very easy.

dweller ... i am not a brit (only husband and son), i already check on the turkey consular website and defenitely i will need a visa. My main concern now we only have less than 2 hrs in Istanbul airport to transfer to local flight going to Izmir. If the immigration having long queue, then we would be in the big trouble. I am sure i will sort that out somehow ... i will have to inquire about brits visa on the embassy when i apply mine.

The hotel we planning to stay quote 80 Euro a day for their mercedez vito (with driver without petrol), and 43 Euro a day from local rent a car for fiat car (without driver without gas). The price they quote is expensive or average?

Dweller ... may i ask how much for the petrol tax a liter in Turkey?

I will respond to your PM a.s.a.p ... promise to take son out for movie now.

Thanks

If you are an American, you can enter to the Philippines and pay your Visa on Arrival.

Goodluck!

Cheers!
