Travel within GCC States

Does anybody know what teh rules are concerning travel within the GCC States for somebody that would normally require a visa for that country. For example, I would normally require a visa for UAE or Bahrain. The fact that I have a Qatari RP does the visa requirement now fall away? I believe that there is a different set of rules for Oman with respect to Qatar residents?

Any comments / details would be appreciated.

I just come back from Dubai last weekend. The procedure is easy, if you have RP in Qatar, you can travel to any GCC countries on arrival visa, only need to pay 100 dirhams for Dubai and you need to fill some form before que in Immigration line. And the information I got from Emirates airlines, if you (in this case myself as holder of spouses visa/RP Qatar) travel alone I have to get the visa organized by them and cost me 300 riyals. This I think depending on your job title also. You might can get in without pay. But if I travel with my husband as my sponsor I only pay 100 dirhams on arrival visa just like above explanation. Where are you heading about?
